What is Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is when a certified professional uses different pressure and movement to manipulate your soft tissues- including muscles, skin, connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments.

Massage is being used more and more as a treatment in integrative medicine. This means that it is being used with other treatments to help cure or lessen the effects of different medical problems.

Studies on the massage benefits have shown that it can:

  • Help relieve stress
  • Reduce pain and muscle tension
  • Increase relaxation
  • Improve immune function

At Push Pounds, we understand that sometimes people need a little extra help to cope with pain and stress. Our medical professionals may recommend massage therapy for conditions like cancer, heart disease, stomach problems or fibromyalgia.

Massage therapy may be the perfect option if you want to improve your overall health.
